Want To Help This Weekend?

The Biloxi National Cemetery will continue its Memorial Day Tradition this weekend by placing over 17,000 flags to display over the Memorial Day holiday, and they need your help.  If you would like to volunteer, arrive before 8am this Saturday morning, and park at the VA Medical Center parking lot North of the main cemetery entrance.  The flags are furnished by the cemetery.  The cemetery is located at 400 Veterans Avenue in Biloxi.

Memorial Day commemorates the men and women who died while in the military service.  In observance of the holiday, many people visit cemeteries and memorials, and volunteers often place American flags on each grave site at national cemeteries.  A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3:00 p.m. local time.

Be Safe this Memorial Day weekend!  ~~  Patty Steele
