Yesterday meek Mill and Jay Z were at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. Meek and Jay are teaming up with Philadelphia 76ers owner Michael Rubin, and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft to form The Reform Alliance.  The idea was born after Rubin arranged a meeting between Kraft and Meek Mill last Spring. Meek Mill was in prison for a probation violation. During the presentation yesterday the co founders explained their goals and initiatives. The top goal of Reform Alliance is to remove one million people from the criminal justice system within five years.
Reform Alliance has chosen political commentator and social activist Van Jones as its CEO.  Other co-founders include Daniel Loeb, CEO and founder of Third Point LLC, Michael E. Novogratz, CEO and founder of Galaxy Digital, Clara Wu Tsai, co-owner of the Brooklyn Nets, and Robert F. Smith, CEO and founder of Vista Equity Partners. Together the co founders have pledged a total $50 million to the organization. ~~ Patty Steele
